There are a lot of rules, and a lot of contractors don’t know them
Cable sizes, circuit protection, earthing, RCD protection in wet areas, separation from data and low-current lines, labelling and testing: electrical work in the UAE is governed by detailed regulations and authority requirements. Many contractors don’t know them, or ignore them to save time.
The result often shows up at the worst moment: a failed inspection, a building management refusal, an insurance problem or a fire risk. When the installation is not compliant, you end up opening the walls and redoing the wiring, and paying twice for the same job.
