One mistake is enough

A drainage pipe with the wrong fall, a missing trap seal or a vent that was never connected will not show on handover day. Weeks later a sewer smell comes out of nowhere, from a floor drain, a basin or behind a wall. It is caused by a single mistake in a pipe you can no longer reach.

That is where the cheap quote gets expensive. The saving on pipe, fittings or a proper plumber is a small number. Finding the fault afterwards means breaking tiles, cabinets and ceilings, and it can cost many times the original saving. On a villa or a building, the damage can run far beyond the price of the job.

Untested joints closed into walls

Why is there a sewer smell in my apartment?

The most common causes are a dry or missing trap seal, a drainage pipe with the wrong fall, or a missing or blocked vent. We investigate, find the source and fix it properly.

Do you pressure-test new plumbing?

Yes. Every supply line is pressure-tested before it is closed into a wall or ceiling, and the records go into your handover file.

Is it worth choosing the cheapest plumber?
